Patrick and Kimberly met in 2004, when Patrick was stationed at the Naval Construction Battalion Center on the Gulf in Mississippi . A year later they married not too long before Hurricane Katrina hitThe couple was forced to relocate after losing everything but their lives . Kimberly says, "We have no complaints. We were lucky to escape with our lives and each other." Working with children is Kimberly's passion as well as her career. She works as a training and curriculum specialist helping to care for young children of Naval personnel in a child development center. Recently Kimberly and Patrick found they would need IVF to have a chance to conceive. Kimberly, "I work with children every day and it is so hard to imagine my life without a child of my own . The hardest part is when family, friends , and other parents tell me how wonderful I am with children and how I would be a great mother. It makes me really sad , because I ' m so scared my dream of becoming a mother is just that a dream." With Patrick' s military career and Kimberly's childcare career they needed INCIID's help to realize a chance to pursue IVF. This couple is rich in other ways like their love and and desire to provide support , care , affection , and stability to a baby.
