INCIID Launches Free National Fertility Legislation Tracker for Patients, Advocates, and Policymakers

 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 27, 2026

CLIFTON, Va., May 27, 2026 — The InterNational Council on Infertility Information Dissemination (INCIID), a nonprofit serving the infertility and reproductive health community since 1995, today announced the launch of its Fertility Legislation Tracker — a free, publicly accessible interactive map tracking fertility-related legislation across the United States.

The tracker, available at inciid.org/fertility-legislation-tracker, provides real-time visibility into state-level fertility legislation, including insurance mandate bills, IVF protection measures, and reproductive health policy. Each state’s legislation is categorized by status: active bills under consideration, enacted laws, and failed measures. The resource is updated weekly and is free to access without registration.

In a rapidly shifting legislative landscape following the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision and ongoing state-level battles over reproductive rights and fertility treatment access, INCIID’s tracker fills a critical gap for patients who need to understand the laws that directly affect their treatment options and insurance coverage.

“Patients navigating infertility treatment are already managing enormous emotional, physical, and financial burdens,” said Nancy Hemenway, Executive Director and Co-Founder of INCIID. “The last thing they should have to do is wade through legislative databases to understand whether their state protects their right to IVF or mandates insurance coverage for fertility treatment. We built this tracker so that information is clear, current, and accessible to everyone — patients, advocates, clinicians, and policymakers alike.”

The INCIID Fertility Legislation Tracker currently ranks first on Google for the search term ‘fertility legislation tracker,’ reflecting the resource’s relevance and accessibility to patients actively seeking this information.

INCIID notes that fertility legislation varies dramatically by state, and that even in states with insurance mandates, gaps and exclusions can leave patients without the coverage they expect. The tracker is designed to support informed decision-making, not replace legal or medical advice.

The Fertility Legislation Tracker is available free at inciid.org/fertility-legislation-tracker
