Dr. Richard Marrs’ Fertility Book, by Richard Marrs, M.D., Lisa Friedman Bloch and Kathy Kirtland Silverman. Published by Delacorte Press, ISBN 0-385-31436-1. An excellent overview of all aspects of infertility, from acknowledging that there is a problem to finding competent care, to getting through the diagnosis and deciding on a treatment plan. The book advocates being a partner in your treatment plan, not just the subject of the treatment plan, and clearly explains details of misleading studies and media stories. “Pull Quotes” are used effectively to highlight important information and insights in each section.
