Jacques Cohen, Ph.D., HCLD, is an internationally renowned clinical embryologist and reproductive scientist, widely recognized as one of the pioneers of modern assisted reproductive technology (ART). With a career spanning more than four decades, Dr. Cohen has played a central role in advancing laboratory techniques that have transformed the success and safety of IVF worldwide.
Dr. Cohen is best known for his groundbreaking contributions to micromanipulation in embryology, including work that helped lead to the development and clinical application of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)—a technique that revolutionized treatment for male factor infertility. His research and clinical innovations have significantly improved fertilization outcomes and embryo development in IVF laboratories across the globe.
He has also been a leader in the integration of genetics into reproductive medicine.
