Marla Neufeld, Esq., is not only a nationally recognized reproductive technology attorney, but also someone with deeply personal insight into the challenges of infertility. Like one in six couples of childbearing age, she experienced her own infertility journey over several years. Ultimately, she became a parent through gestational surrogacy, welcoming twins—an experience that continues to shape her compassionate, client-centered approach to legal care.

As a Partner at Greenspoon Marder and founder of the firm’s Surrogacy & Assisted Reproductive Technology practice group, Marla combines her strong transactional law background with firsthand understanding of the emotional and legal complexities of family building. She represents intended parents, surrogates, and donors in a wide range of matters, including surrogacy arrangements, egg, sperm, and embryo donation, and adoption and parentage law.

Marla is committed to helping individuals, couples, and LGBTQ+ families navigate the often complex and overwhelming path to parenthood. She approaches each client with empathy, recognizing both the emotional weight and the legal intricacies involved, and provides clear, experienced guidance throughout the process.

In addition to her legal practice, Marla is actively involved in organizations supporting family building and reproductive access, including Men Having Babies, where she provides legal services to gay men in financial need, as well as March of Dimes, Uprooted (a Jewish response to infertility), and Our Fund, which supports LGBTQ+ initiatives.

She is also a co-author of the American Bar Association’s The ABA Guide to Assisted Reproduction: Techniques, Legal Issues, and Pathways to Success, a widely respected resource designed to help individuals and families better understand assisted reproductive technologies, legal considerations, and the path to parenthood.
