Sandra Pfau-Englund, Esq. has provided legal counsel to nonprofit organizations for more than 20 years, with deep expertise in tax-exempt status, compliance, and governance. She is the founder of RENOSI, Inc., a company dedicated to helping nonprofit groups navigate the complex federal and state filing requirements necessary to obtain and maintain tax-exempt status.

Recognized as an industry thought leader, Ms. Pfau-Englund focuses on issues related to nonprofit compliance, financial accountability, and fundraising transparency. She began her legal career with a Washington, D.C.-based law firm, where she represented clients on matters involving tax-exempt status, grants and expenditure responsibility, and private foundation rules and regulations.

A sought-after subject matter expert, she has been quoted by national media including NBC’s TODAY Show, Forbes, and The Wall Street Journal. She is also a published author and frequent speaker, presenting across the country on issues related to nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations.

Ms. Pfau-Englund earned her Juris Doctor and a Master’s in Public Administration from George Washington University. She holds a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Eastern Michigan University, where she was honored as an Outstanding Young Alumnae.

Sandra Pfau-Englund holds a foundational place in the history of INCIID. She was instrumental in getting the organization started and generously performed all of the initial nonprofit legal groundwork pro bono, including drafting the Articles of Incorporation and guiding the organization through its formation.

Without her expertise, dedication, and early leadership, INCIID would not have existed. Her contributions remain an essential part of the organization’s legacy and mission.
